History

The Natakai Kalari movement in Kerala heralded a vision of theatre training : Theatre, to be taught in an institution using a formal curriculum. Thus, under the able leadership of Prof. G Shankarapillai and later Dr. Vayala Vasudevan Pillai, School of drama opened a new chapter in theatre training in Kerala.
