M.A.(Music)

The M.A.(Music-CCSS) course at the School of Drama &Fine Arts, started in the year 2000, in December. It is a 2-year programme in 4 semesters of 6 months each. The course aims at a thorough study of South Indian Karnatic music in an advanced manner and a general study of other prominent systems of music prevailing in different parts of the country, both in theory and practice. It is also meant to train the students academically and professionally. The training programme includes theoretical and practical oriented projects, Seminars, Demonstrations, Guest lectures, etc. in addition to regular teaching. Alumni association – SADIR was formed in 2008.
